Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea lives in the fragile space where fairytales brush up against real life. Where magic isn’t dismissed but isn’t quite enough to shield us from heartbreak either. What draws me to this play is that it refuses to choose one or the other. Instead, it holds fantasy and reality in tension, letting them collide, overlap, contradict, and illuminate each other.
In this production, we lean fully into the plays extremes — the bold, absurd comedy and the quiet, aching honesty. That contrast feels cathartic to me, a reflection of how joy and longing often occupy the same emotional landscape.
I hope you feel the hope, humor, and heartfelt chaos that make this story so special. And above all, I hope it invites you to consider how love shows itself — not in perfect endings, but in the moments when fantasy meets truth.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
